On Saturday, July 13th, we had the pleasure of hosting angel artist Iaysha Salih, who showcased her most recent work, Angel Blessings. Our customers loved Iaysha, and we sold out of her stock by the end of the day! We also had the opportunity to ask her some questions about her practice and her involvement in the angel world.
Can you tell us about yourself and your practice?
I am Iaysha, an Angel and Abstract Artist.
As a visionary artist, I specialise in creating paintings that radiate harmony and peace. My practice begins with deep meditation, allowing me to connect with the Angels and my higher self. Each painting, guided by intuition and a meditative process, captures the interplay of colour, space, light, and the unseen worlds to evoke grace and ephemeral beauty.
My artistic focus is on conveying the essence rather than the exact details, enabling me to delve deeper into the emotions and energy behind my subject matter. This exploration of the unseen and intangible aspects of the world truly captivates me and infuses my art with emotional depth.
I see painting as a symphony of colour and light, much like a musical composition. Each stroke contributes to the creation of the painting, which serves as a medium to explore and express my innermost thoughts and emotions as a form of self-expression and healing. More importantly, I hope it inspires others to reflect on their spiritual journeys and connect with the beauty that exists within and around us.
What inspired you to create your deck?
It really started at the Mind Body Spirit Festival when people would take my business cards and turn them over, only to find my contact details. They thought they were getting a message!
The angels then inspired and lovingly guided me to create the "Pocket Angel Blessings Affirmation Deck." This divine inspiration is infused in every card, connecting you to the angelic realm.
I love the small size, as it makes them easy to carry with you, or you can take a photo to keep close throughout the day. The deck contains profound affirmations and a daily prompt to help ground your message.
The deck is simple to use. After a few long, deep breaths and calling forth your Guardian Angel, select a card. You can also use the angel image to find your own message.
What is your experience with angels?
My experience with Angels has been profoundly transformative and deeply personal. I have always felt a strong connection to the Angels from a young age, sensing their presence and guidance. They are with me not just in my creative process but also constantly in my life. It is a beautiful relationship that I cherish deeply.
When did you decide to turn this into your profession?
I have been painting since I was young when I could first hold a paintbrush, and I am self-taught. After working in a gallery where I sold my paintings, I decided to open my own art gallery, showcasing my paintings and those of other artists. I also studied vibrational medicine and healing. After 20 years, and with the guidance of Angels, I decided to pursue my passion for painting full-time and create art that is transformational, allowing one to feel the energy coming through the painting, offering healing and love.
