Health in Theory and Practice – Circling the Square with Steve Kippax

October 24 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Steve Kippax’s Health in Theory and Practice (AEON Books, 2019) presents the case for personal responsibility to health for the interested, aware layperson – and if a person is aware, how can they not be interested in their own wellbeing?

The book lays out the rationale for self-maintenance and personal growth and development through diet, exercise and qi gong, offering an energetic understanding of health and disease as compared to pharmaceutically-driven Western medicine’s suppression of symptoms. Accepting the value of both, Health in Theory and Practice advocates the wisdom of choosing the correct options at the correct time. If and when disease does occur, the book provides solutions via dietary advice, herbal medicine, homeopathy and acupressure/massage.

Join Steve as he explains how Health in Theory and Practice came to be published, from its inception in China 12 years ago to the various serendipitous events that have since led to its completion and publication. Following the free talk, you’ll have the chance to ask any questions and have your copy of the book signed by the author.
