Claudia Navone: The Shapeshifter

February 20 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

“We live in a consumerist world – be thinner, run faster, earn more – it’s about having, it’s not about giving. We have too much and we know too little. What we need to embrace now, if we wish to experience a happier and more fulfilled life, is reconnecting with our heart and become aware of the richness that are already inside of us. Shifting our consciousness, learning to give back to the planet, learning to give to each other is truly the only way forward towards self-realization and real freedom, the freedom from our fears and conditionings.”

Former fashionista and teacher of consciousness Claudia Navone is a bridge across the all-too-familiar ravine between consumerism and consciousness.

Born in Florence, since childhood Claudia has inhabited the dreams of many, becoming firstly a ballerina and later a director and fashion editor of publications such as Elle, the Sunday Times and Harper’s Bazaar. She has also worked as a judge on Project Runway Australia, as well as Australia’s Next Top Model. Following a spontaneous and powerful spiritual awakening in 2006, Claudia left fashion behind and chose a very different path.

To celebrate the launch of her book, The Shapeshifter: A Tale from Glitter to Light (Waterside Productions, available now), Claudia will be interviewed by journalist and writer Dr. Mandeep Rai at Watkins Books for this free talk and Q&A session. Claudia and Dr. Rai will discuss the essence of consciousness (highlighting that we can always shapeshift to a more conscious self) as well as discussing Claudia’s magical, difficult, and overwhelmingly worthwhile journey from the fashion world to a state of spiritual consciousness.
